Currently, the Horus Endeavor partners focus on the following research fields:
Virtual worlds
The models are shown in virtual worlds, where they are realistically simulated and graphically displayed to promote the understanding of process models by the business user.3D process models
Additional information (e.g. roles, time and resources) are introduced in procedure models as an additional dimension to the graphic representation. The use of 3D glasses is particularly interesting for the illustrative visualization of simulation runs as a "flight" through the 3D model, for example.Semantic processes
The basic idea is to enrich business process models with additional meta-information ("knowledge") – usually in the form of Ontologies – to support automated model processing.Social BPM
Development of methods and tools that allow all members of a business community to actively contribute to business process management. Both technical and sociological issues are addressed.
