Horus Endeavor: It’s all about changing the World – Collaborative Business Process Modeling

Reaching too high with this demand? Maybe. Practice however shows that projects, in which really the entire knowledge of a business community is used, are rare. Given the many obstacles that have to be overcome in such projects, it isn’t really surprising: Starting with the security aspects up to conscious information hiding, securing corporate secrets up to lacking technical possibilities.

Horus Endeavor takes the initiative and has aimed to break down these obstacles. And thereby social and economical as well as information-technical aspects are taken into account deliberately. To achieve the aspired goals, Horus Endeavor focuses on different fields of operation. In these operational fields partners are involved deliberately; on one hand to enhance the provided knowledge, on the other hand to increase the vigor and promptitude in implementing the results.

Method and Freeware Tools

As a result of the Endeavor activities, the Horus® Method™ developed, which was published as reference book by the German publisher Oldenbourg Verlag. The reference book is suitable as basis for courses on the topic Business Process Engineering and for training on the job. Endeavor is also responsible for the free download of Horus Freeware Tools. Horus Method and Freeware Tools are Endeavor’s answers to missing technical possibilities for collaborative business process modeling.

Scalable Solutions

Security requirements, extent and complexity of business process projects call for scalable solutions. Voilà – the Horus Enterprise products support collaborative Business Process Engineering projects from 1 to 10.000 users and more. Whether it may be desktop- or mobile PCs, on PDAs, on the intranet or internet – technically there are no boundaries for Horus Enterprise solutions. And the intensive research work done by Endeavor’s partners ensures that the Horus products are prepared optimally at all times for new professional or technical challenges.

Humane Usage of Information Technologies

Horus Endeavor supports the goal of humane usage of information technologies and in this context, works together closely with the Integrata Foundation. Collaboration in business process development makes an important contribution to the creation of business processes and IT solutions, that are tailored to the demands of business users and therefore they create the preconditions of a humane work environment.
