Horus Business Modeler
Modeling and Simulation of Business Processes for the Professional Business User
Horus Business Modeler is the pro-tool for modeling and simulating business processes. Thanks to a one-of-a-kind software architecture the tool combines simple usability and great capability to a real high end product. The basis is made up of an Oracle®-based repository, in which the models are filed in a structured manner. The formal elements can be related to all kinds of multi-media documents. The functional range includes reports that map the model contents in a clear overview. For further going analyses and individual reports, the tool Horus Model Intelligence is used.
Modeling with Method
With Horus Business Modeler business processes are modeled from different point of views. This simplifies the models and increases the flexibility of model design. But: often many model types overdo it on the user. Not so with Horus Business Modeler. Models are now designed “with method”! The method describes several phases and leads the way from the first project idea down to the finished business process model and beyond. The tool enforces the method where necessary but leaves as much latitude to where a business process expert feels comfortable as well.
Modeling Languages and Model Types
Lastly, simplicity with Horus is achieved because only four different modeling languages are used. Besides Petri-Nets (XML-Nets), organization charts, semantic-hierarchical structures, an object/relationship model is used. With these languages all relevant aspects are drawn together in the respective models, which are linked together in well defined rules of the Horus method. Which models are intended in which phase of the Horus method is defined in the table below:
