Digitalization

Digitalization is a must for anyone who needs to support business processes with information- or communication technology. But the digitalization does not only affect the processes, the organizational structures and the implemented IT-systems, but due to the globalization also impacts the definition of actual business models.
Depending on the initial situation and the basic conditions there are different reasons for digitalization. The leading cause is the business procedures not or only in parts being supported by the respective software.

The exact state can be determined fairly easily through evaluating the processes and the appointed systems (actual state analysis). Based on the results a concept for the necessary future requirements can be drawn up. Those will be transferred into concrete digitalization projects and be executed and monitored within the following steps.

The Horus Business Modeler supports the actual state analysis, the concept and the project definition with appropriate model types and options for conjunctions.

If bigger parts of the business or even the company as a whole needs to be included, the Horus Private Community supplies additional access and commentary features. The digitalization’s monitoring is done in the Process Intelligence with its broader range of information from the implementation environment. With the help of the Horus Method, a guideline for the ideal business analysis, and the according features of the Horus software your projects will not only be faster and more efficient but also bring more sustainable results throughout the whole digitalization process.

System Roll-Out

Strategic business decisions determined by corporate management at times includes the acquisition of new business software, to standardize processes and to improve the transparency and efficiency. Process management is bound to become an important part of such a fundamental novelty.
Nearly every business at some point in time comes across the task of acquiring standard software packages, meaning the implementation of functionally suitable modules of a configurable business software. This is a highly complex process, starting from the product selection through to the actual implementation and up to the initial operation.

Helping at the earliest of those challenges already, the Horus Knowledge Bases sculpt the ideal foundation to define the relation of how much of the functional requirements is covered by the considered software product. This is done through predefined processes, functionalities and business objects.

During the implementation the predefined knowledge provides transparency and tremendously cuts down on the total expense and efforts. As soon as the new software has gone live, the Horus software tools and the predefined content can be used to build a sustainable and process oriented corporate knowledge management, since this is a core requirement for the smooth operation and any future software system rollouts within the company.

Summarizing, Horus software is a tool, originally developed for the implementation of configurable business software, that will save your time and money during your next project. Horus provides you with approaches, software tools and predefined process-oriented content for the selection, implementation and operation of business software – specifically for a vast amount of economic divisions, e.g. Finance, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Customer Relationship Management, Project Management or Human Capital Management.

Business Change Management

Any radical change within a company severely affects the everyday work life of all employees. To allay their anxieties and reduce any pushback or opposition, an effective change management needs to be set in place.
To actively include your staff in the business transformation you are planning and to either prevent all opposition against it or lessen it if it has already built, you should have a corporate-wide change management set in place. Whether the opposition originated from a lack of transparency concerning the transformation’s consequences for the employees or if it had other reasons ultimately does not play a significant role. What is more important is clarifying the purpose and the extent of the pending change to convert the fears into support. In such situations it is recommendable to set up a series of workshops in which the upcoming transformation is presented to all participants.

These workshops include the modelling of the current business processes affected by the transformation as well as the modelling of target processes. This illustrates what exactly is about to change and to what extend this actually does affect the staff’s work life. Often times the detailed visualization of the processes alone eases some tension amongst the employees.

Horus uses the frame work of Horus Social Labs for these workshops using the Horus Business Modeler to do the visualization. Each participant will learn and truly understand the reasons and the importance of the business transformation and the future business processes. Furthermore the communication within the Social Labs is not a one-way street but instead enables you to empathize with project participants and to be able to relate to their side of the story. In total these measures do create an enormous increase in understanding of the business transformation itself as well as the execution thereof and it successfully stills your staff’s fear of the unknown.
